Food & sales trailers

Food and Sales Trailers

We design, build and equip sales and food trailers around the customer's business and how the trailer will actually be used. We take on single modifications and complete trailer projects — from planning to furniture and installation.

A sales trailer designed around your business

A working sales or food trailer isn't just a serving hatch added to a trailer. The interior, furniture, appliances, electrics, storage and working areas need to form a whole that supports daily operation.

We design and build solutions for street food, café and kiosk use, events, mobile sales and other business-specific use cases. A project can start from a ready trailer, from modifying an existing one, or from procuring a completely new sales trailer.

You can come to us with just a business idea. You don't need to have planned every technical solution, furniture dimension or appliance layout in advance. We'll go through the needs together and help build a functional whole.

Project scope

Everything you need — through a single project

You can order either an individual job or a complete trailer project. Below are the three ways our customers most often get started.

A

A single modification

For example, installing a new serving hatch, door, worktop, electrical point, lighting fixture or an individual piece of furniture in an existing trailer.

B

Fit-out and partial build

Interior design and build for the trailer — furniture, worktops, storage solutions, electrics and the placement of appliances.

C

A complete trailer project

Designing and building a new or existing trailer into a whole that fits the customer's business — from structures, furniture and electrical installations through to final finish.

Furniture & interior

Custom furniture, interior and working areas — through us

Sales and food trailer furniture — along with its design and installation — can also be delivered through us. Furniture is sized to the available space in the trailer, the appliances, the workflow and how the customer operates.

The goal is an interior where working is as smooth as possible and the available space is used sensibly.

  • Worktops and working stations
  • Cabinets and drawer units
  • Shelves and open storage solutions
  • Dedicated locations sized for appliances
  • Placement planning for refrigeration and kitchen equipment
  • Design of the till and customer service point
  • Storage solutions for supplies and ingredients
  • Dividing the interior between different working stages
  • Wall structures and surface finishes
  • Furniture installation and finishing

You don't need to source and fit furniture through several separate suppliers. We can design the whole, deliver the furniture required for the project and install it as part of the finished trailer.

Structures

Structural modifications

A trailer being converted for sales use often needs more extensive structural work than typical equipment fitting. We deliver the modifications based on the trailer's structure and the intended use.

A

Serving hatches

Design and delivery of new serving and service hatches: opening, framing, mechanisms, locks and finishing.

B

Doors and access routes

New doors, modifications to existing openings and solutions that make it easier for staff and goods to move in and out.

C

Floors and interior structures

Floor repairs and replacements, interior walls, partitions, reinforcements and other structures required by the intended use.

D

Exterior structures

Steps, support legs, protective structures, boxes and other project-specific solutions built on the outside of the trailer.

E

Converting an existing trailer or vehicle

An existing trailer, box body or suitable vehicle can also be assessed for conversion into a sales or service unit.

The suitability and delivery method of structural changes is always assessed per project.

Electrical & equipment

Electrical and lighting solutions

The trailer's electrical system and appliance layout are designed around the appliances used, the workflow and the operating environment. We deliver project-specific electrical and lighting solutions and prepare the locations for the trailer's appliances.

  • +Interior and task lighting
  • +Sockets and electrical points for appliances
  • +Exterior lighting and serving-hatch lighting
  • +Single- or three-phase solutions designed to the project's need
  • +Tidy routing of cables and connections
  • +Sizing and location planning for appliances
  • +Installation preparations for refrigeration and other equipment
  • +Project-specific solutions for the electrical panel and supply

The final solution is determined by the appliances planned for the trailer and the electrical capacity required.

New trailers

Quotes for a completely new sales trailer

Through Kärryhuolto.fi you can also request a quote for a completely new sales or food trailer. We help define a suitable trailer size, model, structures, serving hatches, furniture and equipment.

That way, the customer doesn't first have to buy an empty trailer and then chase down several different providers for each stage of the work. The whole can be designed from the start around the actual use.

Request a quote for a new sales trailer

When designing a new trailer we look at things like:

  • What products or services will be sold from the trailer
  • How many people work in the trailer
  • The appliances required
  • Electrical demand
  • Storage and working areas
  • Number and placement of serving hatches
  • Customer flow and workflow
  • Trailer size and total weight
  • Transport and locations of use
  • Future modification needs
